Meet the band

Jack

Heavily influenced by the classic rock eras of the ‘60s and ‘70s, Jack is a musician who largely values melody. He brings this forward in both his vocals and basslines, with inspirations from bassists such as Paul McCartney, John Entwistle, and Mike Dirnt. Jack started his passion for music at 16 when he was asked to join a high school band with his friends. He didn't have previous experience playing rock instruments, but had expressed great interest in the past to try guitar or drums. The band needed a bassist, and he was eager to fill the role. Jack immediately fell in love with the instrument. In the years since, his newfound enthusiasm for music had pushed him to take on leadership roles within the bands formed thereafter. This eventually led him to branch out into singing. His unshaken drive to create the type of music he wants to hear is clearly evident in the band's songs, which also reflect his personal experiences as a songwriter finding his place in the music world.

James is a versatile guitarist with a unique sound. He is an excellent rhythm player with engrossing strumming patterns and a desire for complex chords. Having been inspired by musicians like Albert Hammond Jr, Matt Bellamy, and Jimi Hendrix, he also doesn’t shy away from captivating riffs and solos. Starting with bass in his elementary school’s jazz band and eventually transitioning over to guitar, James has had a long history with music.  He was motivated to start a high school rock band with Jack at 16, where he immediately wanted to let himself stand out from previous school bands by leading the charge in writing original songs with his bandmates. Their catalogue expanded over the years as he would add his signature style of playing to each song. This became a vital aspect of the band’s sound.

JaMES

Conner

Conner is the youngest member of the group. Although he started as a guitarist, he primarily played drums in high school and moved from Delaware to Massachusetts in 2021. In 2024, Conner and Jack met while working together at a record store and joined Space Shot the same year. Since then, he has elevated the band's intensity, emotion, and quality. In the years he has been in Massachusetts, Conner has gained more drumming experience outside of school by playing in a praise and worship team, and he still plays guitar at shows in addition to writing his own songs whenever he can. With influences from John Bonham, Dave Grohl, and Jimmy Chamberlain, Conner adds a raw power that fills the final third of Space Shot.
